Ways to save money...
In these tough economic times, we all have to cut back and save money anywhere possible. Lets hear some solid tips to cutting back the fat, as they say?
1. I removed 100 lbs. of gear off my boat, hopefully that will reduce my fuel bill.
2. I sold that gear on Ebay and Craiglist.
3. I buy my meat from Costco, spend a few hours trimming and cutting into portions and save over 50% on butcher prices.
4. I called all my insurance companies, and went over each policy...boat, car, motorcycle and either changed or combined coverage...This saved me $1800 per year and improved my coverage.
5. I got rid of my home phone, and only use my cell. No telemarketers messing with my dinner time and I only get calls on my cell anyways. Saves me $90 per month.
6. Switched the fiance from bottled water to an office water cooler....She drinks six 1/2 liters bottles per day, now we drink from the water cooler. Saved us at least $50 per month.
7. Dinner out....forget that...Dinner at home is the way to go. what used to be date night is now invite another couple over for dinner night..They bring the wine...and we still have a better time than some stuffy joint where the service sucks and the portions cause me to stop at BK on the way home.
Any other ideas? Some of you guys work in industries that you know the tricks to saving money for that job.

Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
1. I bring my lunch to work.
2. When I have to go out for something I try to combine several pickups into one trip.
3. drink a lot more coffee at home or in a reusable styrofoam cup, rather than making stops at WaWa or Dunkin Donuts.
4. Been taking 5 gallon gas cans to the boat all winter to try and get the gas at the best prices before the rape of summer.
