    WATER SPOTS

Anyone know how to get really old water spots off glass? Have tried CLR, Brake cleaner, purple power. When my wife was with the Blue Angels they used never dull on the Canopys and that didn't touch it. Would appriciate any advice. Once I get it off there will be Rain-X put on.

The next bite on a jig.
We installed a netralizer at the house that was leaving bad spots on everything....Specifically my reels. I got something up at Lowes called "lime a way" in a green bottle and it made the reels look brand new.

You need to were a glove when messing with it though. I am going to try it on the boat glass also, just havent had a chance.

We bypassed the neutralizer and use that one spigot for the boat and reel washdown.

Water spots are mineral deposits-- mostly calcium. High PH (alkiline). Calcium ( and most other minerals) disolves easily in a weak acid. Long story short--- good ole white vinagar-- full strength oughta take the spots away. Let it soak a while if possible.
Note: sulfer spots are acidic but Simple green, etc. is an alkiline solvent cleaner, so I'm almost sure your spots are not sulpher based.
I leaned all this crap fooling around with saltwater aquariums.

May want to try the NOVUS system cleaners and polish. Works wonders on curtains. A bit pricey though.

    Definitely white vinegar on glass

I use the Plexus cleaner on my curtains. I have it still from when I owned Jeep CJ's, and my curtains used to get beat up in the woods. 3-Step system.

    1) Heavy Scratch Remover
    2) Scratch Remover (for mild to light marks)
    3) Polish

Start with/use any step you needed, but always work up to #1, wherever you start.

Funny, it's been so long since I bought this 3-Step kit, they seemt o have changed it now.....now they have Meguiars in their kit.....

    Here's the new one:

Wait a minute Marty tell me it isn't so. You have time for that with all the videos, charities and fishing. I thought you would leave that to Ponytail.
