    WALL HANGERS

What fish do you all have hangin? How many made the cut to be worthy of paying the money to have them mounted?

I've had my first Dolphin and my first Yellowfin done. My taxidermist does an unbelievable job!! He uses irredesant (sp) paint and they look real. Of course they are reproduced from a mold, but I'm telling you, he does amazing work. I was going to have my first, and only to date mako done with the real jaws, but I can't justify the cost right now. ($1000) I am also going to have my largest striper done as well as my son's 1st striper $ bonita done.

Those are some nice looking mounts from what I can tell by the pics. Fish of that size are definately worthy of a mount IMO. As for myself, I don't have any but thats not to say I wouldn't want one. I've caught a number of stripers over 40 inches and in fact the first one was in 1984. It went 41 1/2". For a long time I wished I had that one mounted. It took me 20 years to break that personal best with a 45" striper which weighed 40 lbs. I didn't get that one mounted either. Since then I've released a couple 43 inchers and several just over 40". I've yet to catch a billfish and a white marlin is on the top of my list. If I do catch one I'd give serious thought in having a replica done. I've never caught a hoo and my biggest bull is about 25 lbs.

Currently haning on our wall we have Franky's first sailfish, the ugliest wahoo you have ever seen, A moray, and some little shark, which the cat has become fond of attacking.

We are hoping to add a rooster fish when we come back from Costa Rica in March, and the Damn Alligator Gar that I lost fishing in the stream a few years ago.(it was huge!)

The only one that I have that's worthy is a 51.2 Golden Tilefish. I'm still waiting on a 60+ Striper.

Checked out the site - he does awesome work. Now all I have to do is catch a fish!!!! I've been eyeing the goldfish tank the last couple days, I might tie up a sabiki tonite.
