You got it right, America is a lot better country than North Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, China, and Cuba. Why would you want us to be more like them? Seems like these right wing conservatives get more un-American every day.

You can't blame the poor Mexicans who come to the US looking for a better life. If I lived in the stink holes that many of these people come from in mexico i would do whatever it took to find a better life! The illegal aliens we need to definitely keep out is anyone with any kind of criminal record.

I do believe we need Mexican workers to fill jobs undesrieable to most Americans however, those seeking refuge here should have to go through a process to become Americans. Give up mexican citizenship and integrate and contribute to society. Anyone who comes here and freeloads on the system should be sent back and be put on a waiting list to gain citizenship. If they are caught sneaking across the border, I say a 3 strikes your out permanently should apply.

Personally, I don't believe we should act like other countries and treat those seeking a better life like a criminal, but we do need rules to follow to make it feasable. We need to remember that as the largest Christian nation on the planet, our compassion is what sets us apart from the rest of the world in how we treat people.

Everyone must play by the rules or there will be utter chaos!

If they want to come to the U.S. they should go through the process to do it legally! No 3 strikes rule, they sneak over, they go back, PERIOD! I applaud Arizona for the new law and hope Texas does the same thing. The people that are protesting are either illegal or have relitives that are illegal. Why are they against having papers checked? Do they have something to hide?

IF you drive drunk, you get caught ,you go to jail. Why? Because it is illegal!
IF you speed down the highway and get caught you get a ticket. Why? Because it is illegal!
If you steal something and get caught you go to jail. Why? Because it is illegal!
If you don't have the proper papers showing your in this country legally, you should be deported. Why? Because it is illegal! NO EXCEPTIONS!

If you travel to other countries, you have to show proper papers if asked or your butt is in trouble so why should it be different here? Right here in Texas I have been asked for identification for no reason and was ok with showing it so what's the problem with showing it upon demand in Arizona? I hear that the police are targeting "Mexicans"... Well, THAT'S WHO ARE SNEAKING ACROSS THE BORDER!!!

People say the illegals are filling the jobs U. S. citizens won't take, well pay a fair wage and they might take those jobs. I know, why pay $8.00 an hour when you can hire an illegal for half that much? BECAUSE THEY ARE ILLEGAL! And the employers won't make as much profit!

listen,i'm not prejudice,and i'm not a racist,facts are what they are,there's millions of illegals in this country,mexican's are not the only ones-the government,these guys are more interested in keeping their jobs than really doing waht the american public want-again,doubt me ?? i think the health care bill proves that point...you want real change ? vote everyone who's currently in office out,clean house,so to speak,it sends a message "we've had enough"...trust your government ?? ask the indians...
