I was having a hard time with it too (same error message); but, the 6th time I clicked on it it worked for some odd reason...
.
I recieve the same error.
I have found that when the video is downloading and if it starts playing before it is completely loaded, it stops part way through and gives the error.
If it starts playing before it is completely loaded, I just click on the stop or pause button and wait til its loaded and then click play and it works great.
If there is a better way to fix this, please let me know. But for now, I still have my video fix each day!!![]()
Ps. I am running on DSL and have Internet Explorer 7(don't really like it to much)
If you have ie7 set not to empty cache on a close ...it will pick up where it left off on the next try. The file was just to large for some download speeds and computers. Did you try the new file download Barry?
The connection I have downloads a meg in 2.3 seconds on average. Connections at 15 or 20,seconds per meg or longer, suffer some doing this. That is the reason some had download issues. Comcast has a faster connection and so does DSL subscribers @ $$$ up there
I've been having the same thing happing with the same error message going on as well as not being able to see the active x stuff. Yesterday and day before I went nuts...spent aboout 6 hours each day working on it.
I now have most of the active X crap working but I still can't get the windows down load to be able to read what going on for upgrading.![]()
Flat, I don't know what is more confuseing, what windows help center emailed me or what you told about told us about the windows player.![]()

I was giving reference to windows movie maker, and windows media encoder, encoding profiles there in. I do not think I mentioned the windows media player. But I will. By default it will not empty the cache or history. So if I start a download and stop it....make a sausage bread with sauteed onion and mushroom with a splash of white wine...then come back a proceed to download the same movie again....it will pick up where it left off. I searched the Microsoft help files last Sunday when cowboy had a issue. Same here Lee, no help or reference. I did find out that all DSL connections should be a bridged network. I doubt if many here have it set up that way. Also assign static addresses so XP does not wake up every 20 or so and try to look for what is connected to the network and assign addresses. But that is all I found out. Really boring shit if ya ask me. The file was to large for most Internet connections, not all but some with a smaller bandwidth. My old 33kbs connection and 200 mtz computer would of blown up working on that file. BLaaaaaa...LOL![]()
