I've been looking of a stand for my video camera for my boat. I'd like to get or make something I could secure my camera to and put it in one of my rod holders on the bridge. Does anyone know it somebody makes one?

One of our SFC members was making some. Don't know if he has any left, but here's the thread:

Beat me to it.
Not sure what boat you have, but this is the one I made for the "Predator" boat and it works great and does not use up a rod hoder, just clamps/ bolts on to the rail.
Tell us some more about your boat that its going on.
I've got a 38' sportfisher and my crew consists of my wife and two sons. My youngest (15 years old) is heavy into photography and videos everything. I'd like to get a mount for the flybridge just like the one you've shown above. That looks like a great mount.
Parsifal, if you look at the picture, in the top right hand corner, you will see my teaser reel and the double real there, this is what I mounted the mount to. This mount is very easy to make and install. You need two, 12" x 5 x 3/4" (sides) pieces of starboard and one 12" x 8" x 3/4" for the top one SS 3/8" x 1 1/2 long bolt, 3/8" ss bolt with built in nylon washer built into it and 2 3/8" finder washers, three, 5/16 by 3" blots and locking nuts. I will try to post some better pictures of it tomorrow evening so you can get a better idea of it.
Here are a couple of more pictures of it.
You can see the bolt a little under the mount

Thanks very much. That's very helpful and looks pretty easy. Is the handle on your camera part of the Sony camera? I have a Panasonic and don't know if I can get a similar setup.
Here's the mount I found.

I think I have one more left. Give me a hollar if you want it.
if you have any afco butts laying around (which I have 5 of them) in black
you can buy a 12 dollor camera or video standard swivle base mount at any
camera shop and JB weld and glue it to the butt works like a charm Deep C
made one too.![]()
