A very sad end of the year for me.
My 1st mate, buddy and best friend passed away yesterday. It is so hard to deal with, I expect him to be there next to me, but he's not..
Every time before I go out fishing I would always give him a couple of pats for good luck.....
May the heavens take him with open arms and keep him in peace.

So sorry to hear about your loss... dogs are the best, they always greet you with a wagging tail at the end of the day, not matter what. May the heavens open up and welcome him into the big boat in the sky.

Im so sorry to hear about your loss. I had a poodle named Dixie, she lived to be 16. Pets become part of your family. When I drive in my car sometimes I can still see her hanging her head out the window with her big silver ears blowing in the wind.

Capt...sorry to hear about your loss. I too have the World's greatest First Mate, my Golden Retriever. There hasn't been a day when he hasn't been there with me either...50 miles offshore, or at the bar at the end of the day, he's there. I'm certain your memories are grand of time spent together...
