Well you will get at least one of those things in vegas , if not all three.
I went a few years ago, and it was ok, but not really my thing, and I will never go again. After a day or so , all the casinos look the same....a bunch of flashing lights and noise. I would suggest taking in a comedy show or take a bus trip to the hoover dam.....it's kinda cool if you have never been there.
I've herd the outlet malls are good , if you want to shop, but that will lighten your wallet. I'm not a gambler, but I played a few slots and some BJ and I guess I broke even. Oh BJ....is Black Jack.....not blow job.....but you can get those there too.....HA HA HA.

I did go in a strip club on fremont st.....20 bucks for 2 beers....needless to say I was outta there quick. Also stay away form the strip clubs in the older area of vegas.....as there is a good chance of getting robbed, stabbed, or shot......or all three.

One of the Helicopter companies offers a 1 day - Fly into the Grand Canyon, Whitewater raft for 1/2 day and fly back out trip.

I don't drink or gamble so what is the next best thing! The food we checked out a ton of buffet's and the common winner was the Belagio and the MGM for decent grazing and if you look on ebay you can usual dig up a few discount coupons!!!PEACE

I went to college there and somehow graduated.

You can fish Lake Mead and rent boats out there. Im not sure how you would go about getting tackle rods and all that junk. This time of year the lake shuts down. They actually think that 50-60 degrees is cold out there. It will be like a ghost town out there. You can try doing a google search to see if you can find anything open and put in a few calls.

Do you ski ? Not to far out of town you can make your way to Mt Charleston which should have some snow on it and you can go for some light skiing. Don't expect anything great though. They have a lodge with a bar and there is usually some local bait you can hang out with. The trails are short and no major vert to them but its something to pass the time.

Ever see the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam etc or been to that part of the country ? If you haven't do yourself a favor. Spend a few clams and get on a helicopter ride and see them in one shot on a half a day. Dont get sucked onto a bus trip. Its a long long wasted day.

You can also look into a day of hiking at Red Rock Canyon. The concierge at the hotel can get you a map and send you in the right direction. Its about 40 minutes outside of the town and the trails are well marked up into the hills that you can hike to until you get to the rocks. There are animal trails everywhere and if you like free hand climbing there are plenty of spots you can waste some energy on if you are into climbing rocks and boulders.

If you have never seen the desert rent a car one day and take a ride out towards California.

You like carnival rides ?? You want to go on the best ride ever for a rush ? Get yourself up to the top of the Stratosphere and do the BIG SHOT. I wont wreck it for you.

Let me guess....a taxi driver took you there....dude they get paid a commission to drop you off in those rat holes. Being from Canada Im sure they heard the accent and the joke was on you. $20 wont get you in the door at any DECENT Vegas strip joint. If you're in Vegas and worried about $20 for beers or entry fee you shouldnt be in Vegas and should stick to coupon cutting and Slots a Fun where you can eat foot long hot dogs for $1 and wait in line to play $1 min single deck BJ.
