I have been fishing my kayak out of the Hart Miller Island area this summer and have yet to see any breaking stripers all year even going out at dawn. All i have caught around the island are croakers and perch. I understand the fall fishing will become more productive but does that apply to this area as well? i cant really make it all the way out to the shoals and pooles island unless its super flat. Does anyone know a spot here on the western shore where i can get to productive areas in my kayak besides the bay bridge complex? any particular flys besides clousers, bay anchioves, gummy minows work well? also i bring spinning gear with me so any help with conventional tackle would be good too. I also have a trolling rod i usually hang off the back with a tandem parachute rig that gets down like 12-15 feet, is this even worth having with me? thanks in advance for anyone who takes a look at this.
