Underwater Lights
I have been thinking about doing some underwater lights on my boat.
I have a 26' CC.
I was thinking about the trim tab lights from Hurley. http://www.hurleymarine.com/Tab_Lights.html
I have also been looking at the lights from Ocean LED. http://www.oceanled.com/product_reco...t_length_key=3
Yeah, I know support the site sponsors.
Besides the fact that they are a site sponsor....
Does anyone have any of the lights from Hurley or the Ocean LED's?
Remember, I am looking for 12 VDC lights. I know Ocean LED makes some bad ass underwater lights for 110 and 240 VAC.
I am only looking for info on the 12 VDC lights from them and the Trim tab lights from Hurley.
Thanks for the help!!!

Stop staring at my Avatar.
John,
I have the OceanLed's in Blue Model 2010 T/H 12v
Love them, very easy to install and draw very little on the batteries because of the LED's
Not only great for chunking, but they look awsome when running the boat at night, the whole rooster tail lights up in blue......

I know Cowboy has the Ocean LED on MAVERICK. I think he is pretty happy with his. I would like to install the Ocean LED Blue lights on ourt boat at next hall out. They really are nice and bright.

Sit down Shut up And fish
I've got the 2010 thru hulls in blue from Ocean LED. They are quite fantastic. I don't believe Ocean LED even makes a 110 light system but I could be wrong about that.
The Ocean's really put out some serious light for not using much power.
I looked at the Hurleys and they have a certain amount of appeal. On the other hand, I don't really trust the extra weight on the trim tabs. I know there's a lot of them out there but I just found the bottom mount of one of my Bennett Trim Tabs stripped out it's screws and the tab was hanging loose. Would have broken if I had backed up before I caught it. Those tab mounts are just plastic. I don't think they really need the extra stress.
Hurleys aren't LED either but someone else has LED's in a trim tab light but LED does not equal LED. The Oceans are quite a bit stronger.

I love my rigging bucket
LED light info
I have the Fluid Technologies, the part number is AQLBN3 AKA Aqualuma installed on 31 edgewater.
They are 55w LED in blue, cost $3500.00 installed. Waste of money. If you want to go with a underwater light go with Ocean LED, the bigger the better.
I can not get the most out of the lights with the green water in the north east. Frind has Ocean Led, works great.
