Ugh.....Big Business America, what next?!?!?!

Transferred to new position within my company back in June. Put on a project of "Great Importance" and I would get all the training and assistance needed to complete. Well, as expected, the actual training started two weeks ago, project started six months ago....I pushed and pushed and busted my stones to get the thing going, you know, doing a "great job" as my boss repeatedly said. Nothing like starting out a new job already hog tied.

Find out yesterday that they are now moving the responsibility of what I was hired to do over to another area of the business and basically as of April 1, 2007.....I may not have anything to do in this group. I can smell the layoff coming. Ugh!

So, if you know anyone looking for a MCSE guy with manager experience in the Del, SE PA, MD areas........send them my way. UGH!!!!

I know the feeling!!! my department is taking a trip to India.............without us!!!!! Friggin more jobs going to people that could give a crap about this country all in the name of money. Suits are taking the easy way out to try and find more operating capital....why don't they try good old customer service and selling a better and larger portfolio?!?!?! It's BS to me in many ways.

Basically I have spent the past 11 years working with Windows products. In the past I have managed IT for a small HR company as well as working as a Senior Network Engineer for a shady Credit Card company.

When I came to this company I supported how our custom applications worked in a Windows environment and then took a transfer to gain the experience working with Cisco products. I am currently enrolled in the CCNA program at a local community college trying to gain even more knowledge.

Honestly, I would love to go work for another small company where you do everything again....back to the nuts and bolts but with a family now and an insatiable fishing habit, I have salary requirements that I have to meet....if not, the family may have to go........LOLOLOL

Well, typical to a big company, we just had a big conference call where the leader basically said very little about what is moving but what isn't.....nothing really directed at what I will be doing next (if anything at all).

I know I can find another job its just bad timing, but when isn't it......
