Some weeks ago I watched 3 videos by a brazilian captain who had in TV show in UAE in 2004/2005.

I thought the videos were cool because of the Abu Dhabi scenary and the fish species... also I like his accent

I believe the UAE economy is more tied to finance and banking than oil. When I was there it was described as the financial center of the middle east as well as the vacation spot of the who's who in Europe and Asia.

Dubai is the most amercanized of the Emirates. They allow alcohol etc. Their skyline was initially designed to be a duplicate of NYC with Twin Towers. They also have the world's 2 largest malls, indoor Alpine ski resort(Yes snow in mid east all indoors). They have the only 7 star hotel, palms islands and by now I think the Earth manmade islands are done too.Lots of clubs to meet very very friendly women.

I don't think that should be a factor in the decision making. They are one of the fastest growing economies in the world and becoming less dependent on oil each year.
