Well we did the redneck riviera tour. I don't live to go to them but flea markets can be fun...Some very colorful people to say the least. I love seeing the crap and sometimes find a deal or two. Saw a new one today... Counterfeit Sperry Topsiders. I have had enough oreal ones on my feet through the years to recognize a fake. They were mixed in with real ones so the guy was at least that clever. Sperry AO moccasin though does not have a shiny vinyl pattent leather high polish look to it though... Or for that matter monofilament stitching...
Got out of there with a hand full of muffin pans, two cheap pineapples and a bag of blow gun darts. Slid off to our next stop, Cracker Barrel. We have one in West Palm thats kind of a second thought fun place for something different but up in Stuart they take it serious. I mean groups all decked out in their Sunday best lined up round the block stuff. Girls with Bertram class sterns holding hands with their teeth optional boyfriends dotted the landscape but gotta say that country fried steak is pretty good stuff.
Carried on to our next stop. Costco... I learned today to never go there when they have bulk toilet paper on sale! Made that hockey game on TV look like a gentle game of croquet when they busted out the next pallate of Charmin. Quite the sight seeing people of senior years hip checking, tripping, poking gouging and screaming to get the the $3 off industrial packs.![]()
Interesting and kind of sad though to watch several of those seniors working the sample food stands to make a meal out of it.
So the day is progressing nicely... Taking a break to off load groceries then will continue our day...![]()
