A True Marine Hero passes on

Just heard that Col. John Ripley has died of a heart attack. Col. Ripley was one of the only "Quad bodies" around. A Recon Marine, Special Forces Tab, Ranger Tab, and Navy BUD's. He blew up a bridge in Vietnam and they wrote a book called The Bridge at Dong Hi. I served with his son LT Steve Ripley at 2 Recon. Also proud to have had Col. Ripley pin my Gold Wings.(Master Parachute) He was a TRUE MARINE and a GREAT Leader. He will be missed!!
They don't make many like him!!
