truck sale question

my dad emailed a guy about a truck that he saw listed for sale in the paper. THe guy selling the truck is in Ozark MO and says he will deliver for free within 500 miles. HE wants to use Yahoo FInance for the transaction- anyone know anything about this set up? Is it a scam? Just curious

Franky.....i would shy away from Hoo finance.....there was a segment on news awhile back.....said not as secured as Paypal and other means......and that from a financing point...made up of various lenders and not ALL were regulated or up to code as per say a brick & mortar lender....

I think there is something shady about the deal, truck is way underpriced and it all doesn't add up.

I buy a lot of stuff online, mostly Ebay, and always go by the feedback...except buying cars, trucks, and snowmobiles, anything motorized...if I want it bad enough I take it for a ride...and I pay the guy face to face...wouldn't take the chance on a site unseen deal....

I second that motion. There are scammers everywhere and face to face is best.
