Trout Fever
Holy Cow, The fishing has been absolutely unbelievable down South. From trout and reds to tuna and billfish, the fish really cooperated this past weekend. We set off to our secret spot which happens to be producing limits of trout for the last 5 trips. Now if I tell everyody where we were fishing I don't want everybody to run down from the east coast all at once.Best thing it's all about 10 mins. from the launch. We are ancoring in about 5ft of water casting to a submerged point of oyster flats. The bait of choice is all plastics from a Berkly-Gulp natural shrimp to a H&H chatreuse popcorn beetle all under a popping cork about 2t3ft. It is simply amazing watching these fish run right up to the bait and devour them. Here is a pic of the nice mess of fish.
