Tribute to the old Hubris!!!!!!

Well Alex, your longest relationship finally came to an end. I personally did not think the day would actually come but it has. The Hubris was a friend, she was a constant source of entertainment, a place to laugh, make friends and enemies and sometimes a place to catch fish.
I grew up on the Hubris. From a teenager, threw my twenties(i still like to know where those years went) right into my thirties and to fatherhood. I was hoping that Reagan could one day take a trip or two but that will have to be reserved for the new Hubris.
I've learned a lot, laughed a lot, and just flat out enjoyed the years. The talks on the flybridge, it was a fun ride and truly looking forward to the next Hubris. Thanks!!!!!

Looks like 1998 at Pirates Cove, when Jimmy and Alex were a lot thinner. And the old Electric Ark in the background of the second picture. So, Alex when you getting back in the game?

Its fun to look back and remember. Not too many times was i ever in the cockpit, but ill be back! For such a bad boat market i cant get a yes on what i want in a boat. We had a lot of fun with her, and jimmy wont even fish with us anymore. Too small a boat.

Hubris!!! with a fish!!! I got to tell you i was shocked when i got the phone call......good luck on the hunt...look at everything..and dont settle!!

The day we caught that big eye, we didnt leave the dock until at least 9:30. even the charter boats didnt go that day. It was rough as could be but we wanted to go. and we only had one rudder, as one broke off the day before. so what, lets go! It was the second one we had on that day as the first one bent the hook. anyway, flicker fought that fish on a 30 for 3 1/2 hours. It would not come off the sound and it had to be about 10 ft at the 100 line. anyway, ill never forget as rough as it was this guy sails by us, up and down the waves, 10 to 12 ft. hand on a tiller never even looked over at us to see what was going on. his sail boat had to be no more than 26 ft. everytime i tried to move up to the flats with the fish he peeled line off and went back to the bottom. i got to give it to flicker for sticking with that fish for so long. as you remember russell the ride to cape may took 2 days, and wasnt fun.
