I saw Kevin's post about a little freshwater fishing. So after finishing up today I got my trusty black spinner bait and went out to the front yard for my first cast in the pond this spring. on the 4th cast I got my trusty bass. I have never stocked this pond so I don't know how many bass in here but I usually catch Hank about 4 times a year. I felt the pressure though becuase Zoe (the horse) was heckling me the entire time.

Nope hank was freed so I can catch him again tomorrow. I need to get the fly rod out because the KOI are roaming around again. man does jen get pissed when I catch her Koi

Nice, healthy large mouth Mr Pino. May want to double check on the gender though! Ol' Hank looks more like a pre spawn lady bass.

These are not the pictures from the Pino farm I wanna see. I wanna see the pics from the day the chicken got loose and you had to chase him down.

good call nick. I should probably not fish the pond until after the spawn. Usually I can walk the perimeter and see the beds. The pond was a little muddy today but it clears up quickly.
