Tree Issues

Ok ....her's the deal. Worked all day yesterday and then had to rig up a bunch of daisy chains before monday.. Got that done and was on a roll so I figured I would I would do a few more parachutes. Well time goes on and I have crap everywhere. hooks, crimps, rubberbands, shad...you name it its out. get the shop cleaned up..look at the clock and its 5 am. ok i lay down..........

7:30 am.. the Mrs and the dog want me up. Time to take the xmas tree down I drag my butt out of bed and go downstairs and start a BLACK/STRONG pot of Joe. I figure I will try the old " Everybody leaves the tree up until jan 31".... I get THE LOOK!!! You know the one So the tree is still up and its awful quiet in the house if you know what I mean. Even the dog is shakin its head at me as if to say " you sure screwed that one up"....so i am back to rigging up some umbrella rigs and packaging shad from the sale since no one is talking to me today

How long do you guys leave the tree up??? I need some backup!

Ours is about to come down in a couple minutes. My wife and son just took the ornaments off and I need to take the net lites off and then take the tree outside.

January 2, Everything comes down. Back to fishing.

ur all makin me feel like a redneck we leave that damn thing up till it starts dieing. we had one a few years back that started to sprout some cones in early feb end of jan and we were like shit this is just rediculous and had to take it down b4 it took root in the floor, makes the entire house smell nice though

My wife doesn't make me even put one up in the first place! We're by ourselves so it isn't important for us to have Christmas decorations around the house. We have our cards displayed and a few small ornaments but thats it!

I took ours down today. I wanted to avoid the look this year. Plus I needed a few point to make up for al the football that I watched this weekend! Beatsworkin' is right - trees down, now its time to start getting ready for the season.
