Tred & Marty....Tred that was good enough for me dude...I dont know you & wasnt passing judgement on you just stating what was said from the guy who won the trip..Thats why I put second hand you dont know until you get the other side of It...Yes I was a sponsor I will be next year as well...Personally I think your a hell of an angler,capt,mate, & hunter...Ive donated to The Bartas boys & girls tournament two years In a row & will continue to do so..

Whats the chances we can get you up to next years big cookout the we put on.It will no longer be the tdlf cookout becuase we want all the anglers fdrom this board & ohters to attend...We had almost 200 anglers thia year...I know Glenn ask ya this year but I realize It was way to late of a notice...?HEll bring the cameras fishing hot that time of year....

wow, this is a good thread. i have never personally met mr.tred barta , all i know about him is the following before this post:

1) i know he does ALOT ALOT ALOT of charity work , and i had heard of the barta boys and girls torney
2) is a known legend in canyon fishing in montauk and all over
3) is one of the best bow hunters in the world.


and ya know what? all thats true. to top, he even responded to a post from a kid! thanks tred, and to everyone else that posted.


Sportfishermen.com has a great group of guys that are always willing to help and give their opinions~ thats why i love this site, no one yells at you, or get angry or any of that crap like on other sites.

This site flat out rocks, so nothing else needs to be bashed, complimented, or questioned--
Final note: You all should really plan a weekend and enter the Boys & Girls Club Tourny next year. A Blast for the kids-- and all about the kids--rich and poor. Except the serious bragging rights for the winners. One heck of a good time for everyone. This will be one of the biggest and top 4 tournys on the Atlantic Coast next year.
