Got a stupid question. 18 years commercial fishing, we always used the buddy system. Never left anyone "out". We just looked out for each other, that was our bond. What has this gone out of style? We've got Sea Tow and Boat US, but us "old school" real fisherman don't see the need. If I got a buddy broke down, a phone or radio call is all that's needed. I don't care what time or where, but it works the same both ways. Are we or are we not waterman?

I can’t say enough good things about Tow Boat US – Indian River and OC.
Last month we were coming around from Annapolis to Ocean City, MD. It was a beautiful ride up the Chesapeake Bay. We made it through the C&D Canal into the Delaware River, about a mile into the river we hit some debris and snapped one shaft and cracked the other. After debating what we wanted to do for about an hour, we decided to see if we could get towed. We contacted Bout US, who put use in contact with Tow Boat US – Indian River. They agreed to tow us all the way to our slip in OC, MD. We continued South as they came North and we met in the area of Ship John Light. They hooked up and we headed to OC. Shortly before dark the fog got so bad we couldn’t see the tow boat in front of us. During the trip the Capt. would check on us and make sure we were OK.
The whole experience was as good as could be expected and the Capt. and “crew” were top notch.
The best part is with the $125.00 unlimited towing coverage the $2,400.00 tow bill cost me nothing!
