Fishing for Mahi, Blue Marlin, and Wahoo. Any tips? I have never done serious fishing before I am already having dreams and can't sleep.

Sounds like a lot of fun!

One tip - Even tho it may not be much always weigh what you got. You never know.

Pay attention and have fun with it. A lot of people forget that fishing is supposed to be fun. Tournaments tend to take the fun out of it for some. Do what you do best and fish hard. Don't forget to pay attention to the rules and allow time for problems on the way in.

    Best of luck with it!

    New Line

Fresh Line, good knots. Don't skimp with old or worn line and check your knots, if they look suspect; cut and re-tie.
    Good Luck!

It's gonna be a long day of fishing 0400 to 1900 . Is 3 month old line too old? caught a about 10 mahi and 4 wahoo on each ranging from 10 to 25lbs.
