Togging has been pretty good this year.

I have had 2 great trips in the past 2 weeks, and plan to get out a few more times before the year ends.

When i go togging i always like to see what guys are using,
There are so many good choice for tog, it is very hard to say that one rod is really "the best".

Some guys like a faster tip like on a musky rod,
They have nice St Croix, Loomis, Batson, and a few others.

The actions on these seem to be faster, with the tip bending and then shutting off closer to the tip, Unless you get a bigger fish which will cause the rod to bend more.

There are some lamiglas rods that are also a faster action, The BL series or the CGBT blanks.
These are a little softer than the muskie rods, but still a faster action.
Calstar has a few rods with a soft tip, which at times may be to soft, but nice overall.

There is also a fiberglass blank made by Lamiglas,
Actually a few.
These blanks are a moderate action, with power.
They have a soft tip,and bend nicley when setting the hook.
They have been around for years, proven for tog killing.

While these rods are only available in custom, because the blanks need to be custom cut,
It is another option for tog guys.

I hope you guys have a good TOG season.
