    Today's Rant..... Customer Service

    Here lately I've been pulled in every direction there is...

    Puppies (that's a good pull!)
    My youngest's son's surgery (tonsils)
    My oldest's son's possible surgery (tonsils)
    Issues with my Gramma
    Issues with my Dad's estate and my crooked aunt
    a host of other things that are just daily hair pullers...

    Today's rant-

    About a month (1-31) ago I broke my cell phone....
    I had called my cell phone insurance co. and got some foreign woman as a representative for my phone's insurance Co. to fill out a claim. I had to repeat everything about the accident (and everything else) 3 or 4 times; but, that's okay. Just send me the form and let me get rid of this germy, broken, loaner phone.... Whatever it takes. A week ago I still had gotten no email (she was supposed to email the form to me to download, print out and to mail back in). No form in the email so I call. Some nice guy mails me out the form, snail mail... A sworn affidavit. Heck (word for something else I feel like saying), I can't fill this out. I don't know what day it was, what time it was, what I told them there a MONTH ago, all I know is that I ran over the stupid thing putting a puppy in the car... I call the insurance place. Very casually give them all the information they are asking for and she says very sharply "The only thing you need to get another phone is to send in the paper you were emailed on the 31st" "You're the hold up here".....

    Yeah, right! Sooooo I go into saying that I never got the email and I felt it was because I'd had to repeat it back about 3 times due to the fact the she wasn't, what I'd say as, proficient in English. Then the woman comes back at me as "Hey Lady, this is America and everyone here has a right to work" I'm thinking "NO - She - DIDN'T - just tell me that" THEN she goes on to say that maybe she didn't understand ME because of my "thick southern accent" . I told her she needed a reality check and I wanted to speak to her supervisor. She hung up on me.

    Now, some of you have talked to me via phone about this or that and I don't remember any of you saying "Huh, what chu talkin' bout you hick girlie?"

    Needless to say, I just talked to the supervisor of said insurance co. and she was speechless... It's a darn shame when you can't call somewhere and

    1. Get someone you can understand that understands you.
    2. Get some type of suitable customer service without dealing with some kind of mess.


    I'm off rant and hopefully on my way to getting a new phone...

    Mine broke today. I'm lucky though, I'll walk in Monday morning, hand it to the I.S. guys and say this doesn't work, I need a new one.

    The worst I'll have to hear is, "We'll get you take care of right away."

    PS. If they want southern accent, just check out videos. I can give them southern

    What would some one working in a phone room in India now about a southern accent?
    I had the pleasure of dealing with one of these folks that said they were a tec. with MSN.It was with out a doubt one of the worst experiences I have had in a long time.Not only did they not help me because I couldn't understand a damn thing she said but,for some reason a english speaking supervisor was unavailable.I'm going to just take the lap top back to where I bought it.
    I hope you get your phone soon and, be thankful that you were blessed by being raised in the south.

    That's what out sourcing gets us Luvsto fish! be it phone, PC or even the telemarketer @ dinner time! Speaking of phones, anyone have any experience with sat phones?

    harley, The company is in NY... The Signal. I think they imported her in to confuse people that have broken more than 10 phones in 2 years... I'm waiting on them to show up at my house and be like "What you doing to all these phones Kim? "

    I use US Cell... Was on suggestion of a good friend that couldn't believe I didn't have a cell phone (a hundred years ago it seems...).


    I sent in the affadavit Friday so hopefully my new victim will be on it's way soon...
