Talking Tip Top Teak now Available at OTH!

For those who don't know Tip Top Teak made some of the best Teak care and maintence products but they were unavailable for the last year. Well now they are under new ownership and are back on the market. We are stocking the Crystal Deck Cleaner, Deck Brightener, and Wood-Oil Sealer.

Never used Snappy Teak. I've only used Tip Top a couple of times, becuase I never had alot of teak. But, a friend of mine, ( Coop on SFC), told me that they were back in business, and when I mentioned it to various Captain friends and detailers, the response was very enthusiastic. I do know the Wood-Oil sealer, is great because it doesn't leave a sticky residue.
Maybe GradyWhite273, the SFC resident teak expert can elaborate.

Wooo Hoo! Yaaaaayyyyy! Yeee haaaaa! Tip Top!
Though theres no teak on my Boss's fleet I have a bunch on the Deep and there is no better stuff... I screwed up and tried others and even varnish and it was a mistake... Tip Top has the "stuff" to cut all that old crud out of the grain and the sealer iseasy to work with... Same me some...

I was just thinking about what I was going to use on the teak this year. I haven't tried tip top yet, so why not give it a shot. I'm pretty sure I could use some other stuff you sell too.

Tip top is by far the best. Now working on the third boat in a row with a teak cockpit and covering boards it is all I will (and am allowed) to use. We use the crysatals when the deck gets bad they not that harsh and mixed with water they dont rase the grain as bad as some of the other harsher products. We use the tip top oil as well. We mix the first coat of oil with teak prep then the coats after are straight oil. Im not an expert but I can say our teak looks pretty good and we only sand once a year.

    Thumbs up

we have tried everything else since TTT went out and nothing is even close we stopped oiling our teak deck on the hatteras because of the sticky residue left behind by all of the imposters! the other thing is it is easily cleaned after you stain it with blood and such and then can re teak the deck. others are more of a sealer that is impossible to get off when you have to reapply oil.

Yes , I remember it well, 1979 35 viking , 454 crusaders, loran c, craig stereo system with 8 track....... oh those were the days.... and yes i remember using tip top teak on that boat.....

fast forward, just used tip top on the wood before ocean reef. The stuff is the real deal, came out the beautiful blonde wood it is supposed to look like. I didn't use the sealer yet, waiting to get her north and sanded down, but im sure it will work tremendously.

The only thing , is spreading it out, im thinking one of the little comet bottles will make it easier to spread the crystals more evenly on the wood.
