Time share, worth it or not?

Someone explained to me the whole time share thing and it made sense but I'm still skeptical. You are supposed to be able to buy a time share some where and then just trade it out with other locations. You get discounted additional trips, and some other benefits. On your one "free trip" a year you still have to pay some fees but not $5,000 to $10,000 for a weeks stay. The time share company was RCI and I looked them up and they are supposed to be the biggest and best out there.

Anyone have any experience? or other more economical ways to fish around the world?

Yes, it's worth it. Depends where you buy. I own at the Marriott in Aruba. Aruba is such a popular place that we can trade and go any where any time...
