Tilefish Line class and Jr world record eligibility

I know this may seem silly since I have never caught one but I was researching the Line Class Tilefish world records and Jr. world records in the IGFA world record books and realized their were none. So I contacted Becky Reynolds, IGFA World Record Coordinator and inquired about these categories. She said that at the current time Tilefish is only available for all tackle world records. No line class or Jr. Status is available. I asked how can this be amended. She said that it really depends on the number of people that would like to see these records become available. So, if you are one of the many that are starting to target these fish and would like to see line class and Jr. world record status added to tilefish then please send Becky Reynolds an email requesting that the Tilefish be added. Good luck BIll. We submitted a couple for tilefish and were told the same thing. I think as more people actively fish for Tiles, this will change. I would think the best way to handle this would be for anyone fishing for them, to submit for line class and smallfry, junior, and/or female, where applicable. This would be the best way to show IGFA that there is a need for these classes.

Thanks! We tried last year with Anngler from SFC. She caught a 44 lb Golden and they said the same thing. So I'll be sending a email to Becky!
