Tiger shark captured on a beach in Brazil

This 6'7" 330lb male tiger shark was found today in a fishing net in Pernambuco, Brazil. The fishing net was located 500 yards from the beach.

Are they usualy found in shallow waters or that's not common?

Only when people are splashing around like a school of bait fish Jer. Actually, see if there was a migration of some sort of fish ( hence, the nets to catch those fish). If it is a primary food source, tigers will follow them anywhere.

Tigers are well known here to be more inquizitive than most sharks and have a bite first attitude compared to other sharks that seem to scope things out first.

Great critters. My second favorite behind white sharks.

EDIT: ...and they can lay a ass-whoopin' on other sharks:

It's Brazil Jer, he was five football fields farther out than the last Blue Marlin I saw reported. He was way out there in the deep. No doubt scared to come closer for fear of catfish.

I have never been to that area, only to a few miles to the south. I just looked at an map and there's a river mouth on that beach. It's possible there's a fish processing plant around "chumming" the beach.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he will have learned how to drink beer an make up lies.
