Hey all,
Many of you know me from the TF site where I supply a number of you with custom rods and rides out to the deep. Since I'm relocating below the DMZ, I wanted extend my hand in hopes of finding new friends here on the site. My last day in Northern Virginia is next Tuesday, adios traffic jams! Destination: Morehead City, NC area. I swear I've never met better people than those in that area.

Welcome to Carteret county. Whatever you do, don't bother to buy a skiff and try to fish downeast, there's no fish here. Go over near Jesse, Queens Creek is a good place for inshore fishing.
If offshore is your thing, watch the inlet with a SW wind and an outgoing tide. Shane or Troy or Jim and others can tell you a lot about the offshore stuff here.
I know you from TF. You are going to love it down in Carteret County. I grew up there. Sadly, my days of visiting there are coming to an end. Dad passed last September, and my Sister has moved Mom to Durham. We are auctioning everything off (the personal property on the 17th, I think). If anyone's interested, it's at the intersection of US 70 and old 70 on the east end of Newport, near the Flea Mall.
