A buddy and I are putting on a local wahoo tournament set for the week of April 1st out of Little River Inlet in North Myrtle Beach S.C. This will be the first that we have actively been a part of in the planning and operating stages. Combined, we have fished many tournaments but we are in need of input from others that may have more knowledge and experience. We want this to be a FUN Tournament with a considerable payout. Presently, proceeds will be donated to the Shriners Hospital to benefit burned and crippled children. We are considering a 5 day tournament with one fishing day allowed to enable the opportunity of decent weather. Our offshore run is a minnimum of 50 miles to the ledge so we want to afford all boats an opportunity to pick a good day to fish. We hope that this can become a great opportunity to give something back to the community. I would like ideas from tournament planners as well as tournament fisherman on what they would want to see in a tournament. Any and all input is appreciated. PM me if needed. Thanks!
