Anytime I've traveled abroad I have tried to absorb 110% of the culture and atmosphere....but nothing came close to what you just reported!

Glad you got to experience it!! Israel is pretty cool. If you are religious, it is an amazingly special place. If you are not it is facinating that humans have been fighting over those rocks for 5,000 years. Either way it is pretty breath taking experience.

My company is Israeli. As such I have been over there between 15 to 20 times. I still enjoy it every time I go. If you ever get a chance to go back, PM me and I will be happy to set you up with what ever you need or offer advice on what to see other than the obvious.

A booze cruise on the Sea of Galilee, A winery in the Golan Heights, A jeep tour of the desert... I have done some interesting stuff over there.

I wanted to go there the most but could not fit it in. Thank you for the pictures of that. Funny how things work out. I didnt get a photo of that but thats what I wanted the most.

That was the one country where I almost always took tours when my ship would go there. Nazareth, the Jordan, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea, Masada, Tel Aviv, Haifa. Five deployments to the Med in 20 years in the Navy and it still was my favorite foreign country.
