Things you did as a kid...., ...that should have maimed or killed you...but didn't.

Ya'll wanna limit this to two or three examples? Perfect. Me firsty.....

#1 - Mounted 70HP snow mobile engine on an old go-cart frame, throttle stuck.......best friend spent several days in hospital.

#2 - Took my parents 1967 Vista Cruiser station wagon over a dangerous hill at triple the speed limit. Became airborne for what seemed like forever, hit the ground and bounced twice, spun three times, trashed the front suspension, blew out three tires and never hit a thing.

#3 - Estes rockets......home-made bombs.....need I say more?

1. got married....and moved to the south! ahaha

2. pulled a giant tractor lure in barehanded trolling at 8knots!

3. shot a propane tank that shifted to the left and amost took out my friends boat.....the look in his eye said it all.

there are many other things but those are just the funny ones!

man,i could go for hours on this...

jumped all kinds of stuff with my dirt bike,broke both my ankles at the same time...broke my color bone,jumping over a picnic table on the bike,a few days later,broke it again practicing...
broke ribs,and had internal bleeding,jumping the railroad tracks on the bike... swinging on a tire swing over the creek,the limb broke,i went flying backwards onto the bank,got my first concussion,was out cold for a few mins...

had a z28 camaro,it slid real bad in the rain,it slid accross 295-4 lanes of traffic,into the woods off the road,flipped over 2 times,the roof on the driver's side door was even with the door,the window blew out...a state cop was behind me,he thought i was dead...he thought wrong...

i had a kawasaki zx6,first sport bike,all jetted up and tweaked up...had a deer jump out in front of me while cutting across a back road at a real high rate of speed

had a suzuki gsxr 750,2003,fast,fast fast-get the idea...had this beast topped out up the parkway one nite,same deal,seen a deer hop out... never dropped the bike both times...but i'll tell ya,it took a few mins before my heart started to beat again...

poored gas all over the driveway drove the go-cart through like stuntman. at least i was the one driving and not the one continuing to poor the gas on the driveway.

1. Left "cocking lever" open on Daisy BB gun, then pulled trigger...fyi...that lever slams down with incredible force...drove trigger through my finger...nice lil scar all the way around my finger.
2. Parent's told me if they got me a dog i had to walk it...ok, lets just hook his leash to the handle bars of my bike...dog went one way, i went another...broken finger, 10 stitches over eye.
3. Running a string of crab pots in the Hoopers Straights...I was up on canopy throwing pots off the top...got one wrapped around my leg and i went flying...obviously i got it unwrapped, but holybatchit that one skeered me good!!!

Did not like the fact that firecrackers weren't big enough so i started taping them together with a single fuse worked great until one went off in my hand. Later decided to empty gunpowder into a test tube to make an xtra large firecracker with nails for shrapnel.

That reminds me, We didn't have firecrackers so we taped marbles to the bottom of shotgun shells and threw them up in the air and ran like hell! Worked good too!

While going to culinary school in VT I thought It would be fun to do start doing fishtales.....well I was in a wrangler...started to fishtale....lost it in the snow and slid all the way down a mountain road (the rd was straight thank god) going sideways....by time I got to the bottom I had to have been going 50-60mph sideways....all I kept thinking was "if I hit a patch of dry road I'm F--ked!!!!"....needless to say.... the road was covered completely with ice/snow I'm here...and the jeep was fine no flipping or nothing just a long scary sideways slide down a mtn rd!!
