I've been looking for a bigger boat for awhile now (still haven't found it yet), but part of the plan is to get involved with stuff like "Make A Wish", "Wounded Warrior's", etc.... I've just got way too much sea time not to share.
Well make a long story short, I went and looked up "Make A Wish" on the computer. Then made the mistake of looking at the charity status, which lead to the salary disclosure of the different chairman. Now I know that it takes some smart's in alot of different area's to make something like that work, but the most important ingredient is "HEART". Heart doesn't have a price tag. I mean it was a total turn off for me. Folk's offer these kids what-ever these kid's wish may be. I don't recall anyone asking to be paid for the opportunity to fulfill one of these kid's dreams. We had a chance(but it was just too late in the game) to take a kid bear hunting. I was all for it, no cost or money was even mentioned. We would do it FOR the child. With the salary's I saw, I gotta tell you it let the wind outta my sail's. I still would love to take those (kids and adult's) out to enjoy what I seem to take for granted, I do it now with the boat I have. Is it just me being the hopeless cynic again? Frank
