Tax Rebate

President Bush said each one of us would get a $600.00 tax rebate.....in
order to stimulate the economy.

Now, if we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.
If we spend it on computers, most of the money will go to Korea or India.

If we spend it on gasoline, it will all go to the Arabs.
None of these scenarios will help the American economy.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to drink beer.
Apparently, beer is the only product still made in the U.S.A

I don't know about the rest of the people here, but it's spring crying out loud!!!

I'm spending money like a drunken sailor on leave.

Not much more I can do, I'm running out.

I'm not sure that I'm happy with the so called tax rebate, since it is the second time during this administration and the last time they took it back at the end of the year by higher taxes. It is hard for me to put money into the government anyway and they should keep it after they get it, knowing that I'm going to have to pay it back in the future and if not me it will pass on to the kids and grandkids. It doesn't look good when you can work so hard and the dollar keeps dropping and the cost of living gets higher and higher. It will be interesting to see what kind of cost of living raise us on SSA will get at the end of the year. The last two were taken back by higher Suplemental ins. and higher medicare ins., no end to any of it! THATS LIFE!

oh yeah this is a great idea, i'm sure most have you have by now received the letter telling you weather or not you will be receiving the rebate. It cost some rediculous some of money just to send out that mailing to inform you that you are either getting or not getting a rebate. Now this money is given to us by the government but where does it come from? It is loaned to them from the "Federal" Reserve Bank. What most don't know is the "federal" reserve is a privately owned bank and they control the interest at which they loan the goverment money putting u.s. further in debt. So how do you supose they pay that money back? Federal income tax maybe?

The government robs Peter to pay Paul, didn't yall know that ? I plan on spending my "rebate" on materials for my boat overhaul (marine ply is Made in USA isn't it ?)
