Taking boat from Miami to Southern Carribean

Hi, I am trying to help out a good friend who is from Bonaire in the Netherland Antillies get a boat from Miami to the island which is 50 miles off the coast of Venezuela. I took him up to Maine ths past weekend where he bought a 32' Holland Downeast boat which will be trailered to Miami next week. Today we got a Raymarine C120 radar/fish finder with a 10kw open array to help with navigating down there. I am wondering if anyone can recomend a good way down. I am thinking of having him head to Nassau, to the smaller Bahamas islands, to Turks Caicos, on to the Dominican, which is then a 400 mile straight shot to Bonaire. Any input will be greatly appreciated. He is having a friend fly up to Miami to help with the trek.

    Thanks
