I know some of you have joined this site and have taken some GI's out this past season and man what a great way to give back to these people Who serve our country....
Seems they had a server problem and would like everyone to re-register if you could at takeasoldierfishing.com/board/register.asp and repost your offer on the forum.....

Ya don't have to be a charter or head boat..... so why not invite a GI out for a day this coming year......

As a Soldier deployed for a second time to Iraq, I can't tell you how great it feels that no matter what political or non-political stance someone has, we know the majority of people support "the troops". Unlike Viet Nam era Vets we get treated great when we return and whiloe we are here and it really means a lot to us.

And many Soldiers when they get back to posts can't wait to go fishing.

Some of us are lucky and get to do some carp and asp fishing in Iraq but it never has the excitement of Salt Water Fishing back home. Of course you all don't have an ear open for incomming mortars while you fish but you get to catch nicer stuff.

another great way to help is to support "wounded warrior"....i've met many returning wounded soldiers and marines and if these folks dont make you proud to be an Amercan...nothing ever will...take a soldier fishing is a great idea

Right on, thanks for the heads up freeballin. I hadn't been on the site before, but I am going to check it out.

We have to support our troops, especially the wounded warriors. They are some good people, and I don't need to explain why we should help them in any way we can.

I know we are planning to take our buddy Joe and hopefully Jeremy, from the Outdoors Without Limits event, on a fishing trip this summer.
