i have them also. i have to agree with you about the stores. im in barnegat and have one in my home town, one in manahawkin and one in toms river. not "dumps" but small stores. and yes, their attitudes SUCK but i guess thats what you get from some kid working for minimum wadge. the "dont really give a chit about you" attitude. i have never had a problem calling them on the phone tho. i guess it just all depends on who you get.

find me a cell phone company that is good today. dealing with nextel/sprint is just as bad. since the down turn in the economy we went from 24 phones to 16 phones. there is no more field reps. they told us to go to a store in the mall???? they want me to go to mall and deal with a 16 year old pizza faced kid for my company communications.

I'm with US Cellular and have been for over 22 years. One of their oldest coustmers. The store's here in Wilmington NC have some great people in them and very helpful most all the time. I like them. A friend is with Alltel and s happy with them...

The store sounds awful. The outsourcing of 'insurance' for the phones is a bad idea all around. I couldnt believe it when i first went through it.

Just my .02 about Verizon is that they have been horrible to deal with concerning other services (advertising, lan line). I had a horrible experience dealing with several dozen offices around the country (I never knew what state they were going route me too- and no one knew how to talk to another office). I will never give them another dime. I remember the girls at the office outside of Baltimore would just pick up the phone and hang up a couple times when i would call close to 4:30 (they got hundreds of calls a day-so it wasnt personal).

I know plenty of people who are very happy with their wireless.-thats just my rant.

    Thumbs up Jawz

I have been f'd by both at&t and verizon. I was extremely happy with my nextel account I have! Now I am stationed in Guam and have my account in Military suspension but I loved it when I was in the states. I would radio someone one the east coast and talk to them like I was standing next to them. I was stationed in central California and love it all my incoming calls were free no matter what phone I was called from and it was just awesome service for me especially seein how I have an ex wife and she thought she was going to run up my phone bill but all she did was send her verizon bill into collections but that is another story for another time! Good luck and tight lines.

    check your bills guys

At&T is notorious slippin extra charges in their bills , because they know people dont actually go thru the 22 pages of BS they send everymonth.. I worked For Qwest for a short period of time, and we used to get AT&T customers to switch by goin thru there bills and highlighting all the stuff that was incorrect ( found a 2700 minute phone call once)

I have T-mobile and have been pretty happy

Call their help line for much better service

I have Verizon service but I have found that I always get better customer service over the phone versus going into a store. When I have a problem and call the 1800 number they are very helpful and quick to mail out a replacement phone but when I walk into a store with a malfunctioning phone they only want to sell me something. I am impatient and prefer to get things done in person but the junior college valedictorians who work at the local stores manage to exhaust my patience every time. I have had decent luck in the past calling the 1800 number and having them authorize a replacement and then going into a store for the swap out, when they start to give me a hard time I simply put them in contact with the person from the help line and they suddenly are much more responsive. I assume that the local stores are trying to meet sales quotas where the help hotline folks are just trying to keep people happy.
