    Swine Flu is a *****

I went to work yesterday morning. I felt a little tired byt not bad. I started at 9 and by 10:15 I knew I was in trouble,. Chills , fever, aches and pains. I called and got coverage and was home by 11:15. I was in bed from them til now. I just got up to get a soda and check my email. I sill feel like shit and am headed back to bed. It must be swine because I already had the regular flu shot. I didn't think I Would get it because I am over 60 and that's considered low risk for catching the swine.
Get the shot when it comes out in your area. I am on Tamiflu but that only lessens the symptoms.

Actually Tamiflu prevents the virus from spreading to new cells in your body, so it does more that just help relieve the symptoms. We are running low on the H1N1 vaccine here in Canada, but all the players on our major sports teams & their family's have already got the shot. Plenty of people pissed off over that. It seem's if your rich & famous you can get the shot, but the rest of us poor folks have to wait, and just hope we don't get sick & die.

I've got a guy working for me that has a buddy in the NYC central morgue. He says they're seeing a big increase in Swine Flu cases. *Note: This is the morgue we're talking about!

He advised that 24 hrs makes a big difference. So if you think you've got a cold and are running a high fever you may want to visit your doctor ASAP.
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.

That's funny as shit...in a sick kind of way! All the liberals here in the U.S. want your Canadian style healthcare to "save the poor". But your country is looking after the rich and famous first while, the USA with our "broken down healthcare system" has been administering the H1N1 vaccine primarily to the poor and high risk population first.

No wonder the libs want your socialized healthcare. They'll get first order treatment while the rest of us have to wait for the crumbs.

It is happening here in the US too. All the wall street big wigs are getting the vaccine while the common folk get a few hundred doses for the population according to the nightly news on ABC.

Hey, Don't get me wrong......most of the high risk people here have already got the shot, but there's not as much supply as the government first thought, so things have been scaled back a bit. As far as sports players being first on the list, I think it makes sense, as they share drink bottles, and all ride on the same buses & planes. The virus could go through the team pretty quick. I guess it was supposed to be a secret, but word got out, and it's caused some political bickering from the opposition side of the government. Everyone in the country will be able to get the shot, if they want it.....it's just gonna take a little more time then first planned.

Last Spring I came down with the flu.

It came on strong and knocked the crap out of me for over a week.

I'm not one to stay home, but I just couldn't shake the feaver, mussel aches and headach. It was bad.

I was barely sleeping and I could barely get off of the couch.

Just when I thought I was getting better because the fever finally broke for a full day I came down with Pneumonia!

The wife wanted to call the ambulance to come and get me. A family member finally came and gave me a ride to the hospital.

It felt like I was kicked in the side. What followed was 10 more days of bed rest.

I don't know if it was H1N1but I hope it was so I don't get it this year.

    eppefour, I feel your pain.
