Bobby, I'm pretty sure Oncslr and Tuna Taxi are both right. For the first time this year in Va. We have to record the GPS coordinates for our duck blind licenses. We used a GPS to get our coordinates and I checked these vis a vis Google Earth---- They were off a right good distance--- about 50 to 60 yds. The problem was two fold. Yes Google Earth shows in Deg, Min., sec. so you have to convert for this or get a reading on your GPS this way. Also, at least where out blinds are, Google is using NAD27 while the GPS was in WGS84. We re-measured changing to NAD27 and were dead balls on.
I don't know if it is true or not, but have been told that Google Earth may have some areas in one datum and other areas in another.
