OK, just curious as to how many people actually went out to vote today? I don't want to know who you voted for, but if you voted at all???

My curiosity stems from the fact that (after speaking to people in the last few days) there are those out there that feel that their vote doesn't matter at all. I have to admit that I know that it's not going the way I would like it here in New Jersey, but if everyone felt that way then no votes would be made whatsoever.

Well not only did I go out to vote but I went on the wrong night. MD is next week. But I did run into a hell of a pancake dinner being put on by the church seriously oops!

Bill, maybe you're on to something there, I would have voted today if they had served pancakes at the polls.

I suppose I did vote today, I voted to take the day off and go work on the boat. It was beautiful in Cape May today.

So to answer your question Mary, no I didn't vote today, probably should have though. Next time.

due to some rule...if not registered R or D the independent is not allowed to vote in this state.......a little bias I would say....no panacakes last night either

Bias? What bias. You're not in the party, why should you have a say in what the party does? I can't figure out the states that allow people to vote in any primary no matter what party they're affiliated with. Somebody please help me out here. And yes, BTW, I did vote, no pancakes though.

so your are suggesting I register with either the R or D parties, then after the primary ...re-register independent again. I doubt I have malicious intent to under mind a party. I would hope I am not looked at that way.....but ya never know......the word sand bagging comes to mind Maybe I need to move next to GlennW YES...that would solve the dilemma. They have their chit together down there.....

Being from ground zero where the "Sore Loserman" and "Don't be had by a Chad" were born, I learned the value of a single vote. What was it? Maybe 300 votes that decided the outcome of a national election? Back in the early eighties a county commision seat I voted on was decided by one vote. Yes Yes Yes a vote counts and I vote when ever I can.
Our primary was a couple weeks ago. I cast my vote though I knew that my horse in the race was effectively finished. Still I voted on a proerty tax relief that only passed by the narrowest of margins... Its good to be American.

opps !! just looked, Virginia is a closed primary also. So much for that idea
