It used to be that when the lenses popped out because the frame got loose, Costa would replace them no questions asked, and I just kept multiple pairs around for just that reason (I paid for the extra pairs)

BUT now Costa wants $60+ to "repair" a 6 month old pair of glasses that I paid $200+ for? BS - I'm not a pro, I may wear them 30 - 50 days a year on the boat - otherwise they are in a climate controlled area. The damned things show no sign of wear - just the lenses fall out.

Oh by the way - if anyone wants 3 or 4 pairs of one-eyed costa catalinas, make me an offer...
You guys care to elaborate a little more with your concerns over the product and/or service? I've considered switching to Costas but haven't. I currently wear Blublockers, have never tried anything better so don't know any different. I've been tickled with everything about them including the price of replacement. thanks

Just picked up my new Costa "Man-oWar" sunglasses that I had ordered with prescription lenses. They returned the original grey non prescription lenses that I have no use for. Free to a good home if anyone needs a spare set.

Costa Del Mar 580, on my sixth pair, great glasses when you do not lose them.

    Just another lying salesman....
Costa Fathoms with the 580 lenses. I tend to stick with something as long as it works. I wore a buddy's Maui Jim's once after losing a pair of Fathoms in about 1200 feet.....I liked them.....but I liked the Costas better.
I never had a problem with warranty service on them. The rubber earpieces on the temples separated on a couple of pair; I sent them back and they replaced them. I paid something like 18 bucks for shipping and handling.

I'm going into my third year with Costa Del Mar Turbine shades. My lenses are perscription though so no 580's. I love them glasses, I wear them all the time I'm in the sun whether I'm on a boat, in the mountains, or my back yard.

I used smith/action optics for years as I got the "pro" rate on them... I was gifted a pair of kaenons and have not worn the action optics since....
