Some other people have the notation [donate]. what's up with the donate versus check and the credits?

Credits are something you aquire through content I believe but Im not sure anymore because it doesnt jive. Either way glad you started to post, welcome

All this time I thought the "credit's" posted on here were going to be added to my "Stimulus Check". But Noooooo, I see now that I'll probably be a few short, when it comes time to cash em' in. I won't meet the new minimun standard and I'll just end up having to pay up in the end. THank's alot Frank

HAHAHA. I joined a few years ago, but got distracted and only re-found this site a coulple weeks ago. Now I check it a couple times a day. Great site. I am not much of a "wow, great looking fish" kind of guy, only post when I have something to report. Being on Cape Cod, the fishing just started a month ago and the weather sucks. Hopefully I will have something to report this week. I am on vacation so nothing to do but rest, drink and fish. Looking forward to it.

There's no use for the credits yet. We may or may not end up using them, but credits are not a bad thing. If/when we use them, if you have some, good for you.

There are dozens of settings and variables on how the credits are added to our members, and in the first weeks one of them wasn't "right"... so inactive members ended up getting more credits than active members. We fixed that and since then that doesn't happen anymore.

GreenPondEd, welcome back! Also posts like "wow, great looking fish", "nice catch", etc are GREAT for the site to get people to continue posting their reports. If people don't post in the report threads, members think people don't care and stop posting reports ... but at the same time the reports get dozens or hundreds of views!!

Maybe if people wouldn't get chastised by the "overseer of all threrads gone wrong" they would be more likely to post. Hard to create an environment that's conducive for sharing when the first response to the original posters question is a slap on the wrist.
