A little warning...the time on this game is in real time. It really takes 14 minutes to drive somewhere!

True, which is why I saved up for boat upgrades as quickly as possible. One of the best early 'feats' to get is the 10% haggle feat, so you can save some major cash on a boat upgrade. Don't waste any level points on the boat driving skill, you rarely get even a one-minute bonus. It's better to catch more fish and use the cash to buy better boats.
