At first, I didn't know if the left or the right had made the video. Then with the condemnation of "lefties" and "liberals" near the end it was clear...the video was produced by and for those with poor memories.

It was Bush who pushed the country over the cliff and ran it into the ground. Most if not all of the programs the video castigates were Bush's programs now, unfortunatley, adopted by Obama. And, absolutely no president in memory (I'm 57) has assaulted American civil liberties as much as that proto-tyrant Bush did.

Short memories.

But back to the point...if any of you, particularly you Hatterized, ever actually visited lefty web sites and read the vitriol leveled by "lefties" towards Obama you'd realize that the left has had it too with unfulfilled promises. What unfulfilled promises? Well, rule of law, for one. Why is it that the greatest arch criminal of the century, Bush, is not in chains and leg irons? The left also hates the bailouts, or have you not heard of Arianna Huffington's Move Your Money movement? The left also hates the extrajudicial killings via drone aircraft, the surge into Afghanistan (for what again?) the immunity to telecoms, the continuation of domestic spying, the secrecy surrounding the health care debate (was supposed to be on CSPAN, remember) the use of the state's secret priviledge to stop lawsuits which would expose government crimes, the continued operation of both Gitmo and Baghram prisons, etc., etc., etc.

If the democrats are defeated in 2010 and if Obama does not serve a second term it will not be because of the tea party, but rather, because of the D-party. Obama's seen as having snookered them. Like the Republican voters did in 2008, the Dems will just stay home on election day.

And, that will give the right wing fascists another chance to install a tyrant that will cook our democracy for his lunch. That is, if the tea party doesn't split the R's in two.

Definitely speaks truth on what the left would like to do to this once free country. I will agree w/ LF that we were put in this position by someone else. I just hope the GOP can come up with a good candidate to fix things, so far I'm not impressed with what we're working with.
