    Stiky or new forum

I was thinking with all the knowledge here how about a forum or stiky on different boat builders.I'm eventually moving into a bigger ride and will probably do a custom carolina.Problem is I only know of a handful so when I look around for them in sales forums I am limited. If people could post the different builders what they build and how throw in some contact info and I could see it being a very valuable resource. It would be nice for people to post on each one with info.I'm not just talking carolina builders but jersey, new england and florida.I think there may even be a way for admin to get some new advertisers outta this. What say you?

We are actually working on a new section of the site I think you will all like.
The section will work on gathering all the great info and threads that have been posted over the years and putting it all into organized cat's.

I hoping to have something to show you all in the next 3 to 4 weeks.

In the mean time i will book mark this thread and hope alot of good info gets posted.

Check out F&S Boatworks....www.fsboatworks.com...My father has a major hand in on that company and personaly for looks i prefer a scarborough with the classic carolina square house design but when it comes to ride and sea-keeping abilty the F&S hull design is proven to be unbelieveable. I began fishin on a 61' F&S "Fin-nominal" and I got spoiled.... 32 knots in a 6ft head sea and not feeling a thing and sitting in the dry cockpit watching the Paul Mann and a Scarborough disappear in a white cloud trying to get into our wake...

    Hi John,

Just thought I'd take a moment to tell you that you've done an awesome job with this site. It's one of the easier forum sites to navigate - and has a very nice flow to it! I can usually find what I'm looking for quickly and without confusion. I really am impressed.

One little suggestion I'd like to make though (having said that ) - would it be possible to put a "Back to Top" link at the bottom of the threads? Most of the time when I am finished reading something, I do not want to go to Next or Previous. Instead, I have to scroll all the way back to the top to decide where I want to go to next. "Some" threads (I won't mention any names but I know the guy REAL well) are really long and full of photos and scrolling all the way back to the top is a workout! One click on a Back to Top link would immediately put me there. Just a thought.

While I'm at it - I just want all you guys to know that you are a class act. Truly. Gringo has schlepped me around a few boating forums and Sportfishermen is definitely a standout. And gee, no heavy moderating - guess it actually IS possible to act sorta like adults and still have fun. How refreshing!

    Thank you!

    Hey Fin
Im not sure if you remember that boat that I was helping build or not but they are now a boat building company called Intensity Boat Works. I dont refer many people because I always seem to get burned but these guys are first class and VERY good at what they do. "IM GOING TO BE THE FIRST TO SAY THIS BUT THEY ARE GOING TO BE THE BEST IN THE BUISNESS AS FAR AS NEW AGE BOAT BUILDING" Itsway beyond wood houses and a rough sketch on a piece of paper. F&S has it going on also. God luck call me when you get ready. Did your Cape Horn come to NJ?

Boat building and Boat maintenance ( both on hulls and engines) are both areas where folks have a lot of questions.
