    Stickers on the Hull

What's the best way to remove old stickers (registration, yearly fishing license, etc) from the hull? Should I try when it is cold and the sticker is brittle, or should I try and heat it/wait until it's warmer out? Don't want to damage the gelcoat under the sticker. Or, is it acceptable to just put the new sticker over the old one?

A hair dryer works well, and Easy-off oven cleaner has worked well for me in the past.

If you're talking about registration stickers, just put the new one over the old one. Nobody will know the difference.
