    Squirrel Problem

I have 5 walnut trees within 30 yards of my house.
Every tree in my yard and all my neighbors yards
have squirrel nests. At least FIVE nests a tree.

I guess the squirrel population has boomed and
they need to expand their housing. I have a couple
that have chewed holes in my eaves and have taken
    up residence in my house.

I fixed the holes with chicken wire and even tried to spray
a squirrel repelant concoction I got off the internet. It
    did not work.

I did a little research and there is a guy in Richland Center
called Terry Sime that does pest removal. I thought the name
was familiar. I called him and low and behold he is a Gays Mills
    Guy. MY HOMETOWN.

Terry lent me one of his live traps and it is already in place on the roof.

If I catch any I will drive them way out in the country and let them go.
There are lots of squirrels in the area. I will update this squirrel fiasco
daily for a week on my blog.

    dealing with pesky squirrels

A little secret that you can have fun with.

Place a bunch of assorted nuts in a spot and get the buggers used to coming there. then put a bunch of nuts and course grain in a bucket and cover with whiskey. Let it soak for a couple days. Then put the nuts out on the spot and give em a little time to get drunk and then catch em and move them to na new place.

This also works great for catching quail or grouse.

my grandpa wired up his bird feeders with 120V so he could hit the switch from time to time and electrocute the squirrels.

My father had issues with a clan of squirrels and was live trapping them and running them down to Wal Mart parking lot early in the a.m. and letting them go until one day when he trapped this one in particular squirrel. The little ******* had no tail. Well, the old man took this little rascal down to Wal Mart too and the very next morning he checked the trap, yup, he had the same freekin squirrel in the trap. Now Wal Mart is about three miles away from his house so I did some research and it turns out that the little bird seed eatin rats have a homing device sort of speaking in their brain and they can find their way back from something like 11 miles away!

Now he just shoots em, he hasn't shot the same rat twice yet!!

Talking Squirrels that were in the garden

My neighbor last summer killed 34 of them rodents with a pellet gun eating in his fenced garden. We had a hard winter in central Va in Dec, Jan, and Feb, and between Mac killin' em, I have not seen a squirrel this year.

EPIC QUOTE! I think I pissed myself!
I would try that but I'd be the one electrocuted.
