Thanks Shane. Sounds like I had them just about right. I put them on some Dacron braid of about 25' length and can adjust them shorter by wrapping the cleat. I need to talk with you sometime about the FF as well. Did not have as much success and was hoping on that last week and I think I had it set up wrong in the spread.

Capt. Shane, I think I can solve your problem thanks to a Capt up here in OC. The guy pulls the same chain as you do and he got so sick and tired of it getting smashed he finally put a hook in the thing. Pulls it from the teaser postion but with a rod. That works great for meat but I guess you would only get one shot with the bills

that same chain got whacked by a blue one earlier that day as well. we nabbed a helluva nice gaffer off it too. but the white chowing down on it was the highlight. i think he got a hold of the bridled ballyhoo chase bait, ate it, and just was working his way up the chain to the next squid. this fish was lit up to beat the band....pec fins extended, exhibiting this electric blue color that i cannot describe. the last hour or so of lines in on saturday was something i will never forget.
