Squidnation Boat Disabled

I was cleaning the boat this afternoon and heard the CG talking to the Squidnation boat off OC, MD. Could only hear the CG side of the converstaion

Boat was diasbled approx 32 mi off the beach, all crew was safe. CG arranged for SeaTow to assist and planned to stay in contact every 30 minutes

Not many boats went out there today to assist as the wind was howling (as usual) so it's going to be a looong ride home

Good luck Bill and crew. I know how they feel, last two weeks in a row we lost a motor on two different boats. Ask me how I feel about Yamaha right now. One was a 300 HPDI and one was a F225. Lucky for us both boats had twins. Still 50 miles at 12 knots is no fun.

Yes, I was talking to Karl on Espadon and they said he was actually out at the Baltimore when they lost steering. Someone ran out to assist but it is 7:45pm and they are still not back as far as I know. I am heading back to Sunset and will try to find out the total situation. It sound like they should get a tow in.

JUST RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM A FRIEND IN THE AZORES.....SAID HE THOUGHT HE SEEN "SQUID' IN A BAR DOWN AT HIS MARINA !!!!!

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT...UH....NOOOOOOOOOOOOO ....NO WAY COULD HE HAVE MADE IT DRIFTING TO THE AZORES

I ASKED HIM TO TRY TO GET A PICTURE OF HIM FOR CONFIRMATION......
