That why it pays to have an attorney as a best friend to get you off. Knock on wood I havent had to use him for myself but I have had to for the wifey. They guy standing in the first pic looks like the one who stepped out from behind a bridge colomun on the Mass turnpike and clocked me several years ago when I HAD to cross the Mason Dixon line several years ago. I wish I had a picture of the dummy sitting in the police car in Knoxville in the median. The real one was hidden about a mile down the road just after you think it was safe to jump the speed back up.
They can't catch me.....even with an airplane....
Speed traps PISS ME OFF. I might drive a little fast, but I maintain solid following distance, don't have a cell phone glued to my ear, and don't weave in and out of traffic.
Those people are a hell of a lot more dangerous than I am on the road - Where are the Cops then?
It just ain't sporting anymore!!! They just started putting in red light cameras here on the Island, and it's nothing but a money-maker. Of course they tell you it's for safety, but then in the next breath they tell you how much revenue it will bring in.
The local jack@$$ County Executive who signed the contract with the camera company (who gets a cut, BTW) had three of the first cameras put in at "high-risk" intersections for "safety". When they found out that it was a different jurisdiction and that they wouldn't get the revenue they tried to pull them out and have them relocated. Can you say hipocracy? That same County Exec recently found himself a new job as a consultant.... not by his choice, but the voters.
While I'm here I'd also like to plug an organization that lobbies against these kind of laws and actions. It's the National Motorists Association, kind of like the NRA for drivers. It's not expensive to join, and they were a major force in getting rid of the national 55 MPH Speed Limit.

IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.
THANKS FOR THE INFO, YOUR RIGHT, THEY USE THE SAME STORIES HERE TOO, BY THE TIME YOU PAY THE STATE FEE 85.00 THEN A 100.00 OR MORE FOR THE TICKET AND THEN THE INSURANCE COMPANY GETS YOU FOR A SURCHARGE ITS TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL, YOUR RIGHT ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. THEN THEY WANT TO TAKE YOUR LICENSE AWAY BUT THEY SEND YOU TO SCHOOL MORE MONEY, ITS BIG BUSINESS.
here in Maryland a small town HAD speed cameras....
once it was made public that the greatest offenders were the Police and Local Town officials the cameras were taken down after a public outcry of those who make the laws must abide by them as well......
never again was additional revenue from those who violate the law talked about again
Long before red lights had no meaning in other states, good old MA had no regard for any traffic regulations...I don't know, I guess if you don't want tickets, obey the speed limits and traffic regs...I recently took a ride with my wife down a country road in my home town...speed posted 30, when I was a kid with my 67 GTO I went through there at 100...times change...
